“Dranetz Power Xplorer” analyzer was used for the Measurement and Verification (M&V) test which was connected to the three phase power feeds serving a bank of elevators. This analyzer is a Utility Grade, Class A meter.
A twenty-minute baseline period was recorded and then the BPU was switched on for a comparison period of approximately one and a half hours. The elevators were active in both the baseline and comparison periods.
KW consumption in the baseline and first comparison period shows a reduction of 16.66% average kwh when the BPU is on.
KW consumption in the baseline and second comparison period shows a reduction of 10% average kwh when the BPU is on.
KW consumption is only one of the benefits provided by BPUTM.
